using usb drives

With xfce and ubuntu, you should just have to plug in the usb drive and wait a few seconds for a file browser to pop up. You can then use the file browser or open a terminal and use the cp command to copy files to/from your usb drive.

When you're all done, right-click on the disk icon, then select "Eject". Wait a few seconds and then pull out the usb disk.
