Swarthmore Students Present at MASC-SLL, 2016

Swarthmore students Martina Costagliola ('17) and Tessa Jones ('17) presented their research at the Mid-Atlantic Student Colloquium on Speech, Language and Learning (MASC-SLL) on April 1, 2016 at the University of Pennsylvania. The colloquium brought together researchers in the mid-atlantic area studying speech, language or machine learning, allowing them to meet, share ideas, and get feedback.

Martina and Tessa, both Computer Science majors at Swarthmore College, presented work they did last summer with Professor Adam Lammert on building an articulatory speech synthesizer capable of producing all English phonemes.
