CS Graduate School Panel

Are you thinking about applying to graduate school in computer science? If so, you should attend the CS Graduate School Information Panel Friday Oct 5 at 12:30pm in the main lab (SC240). The CS faculty will give a brief overview of what graduate school is like and how to apply, then open the discussion up to questions. Pizza will also be provided.

If you plan to attend, please let us know so we can order the proper amount of pizza.

• What CS Graduate School is like? - The first two years and beyond
• What is CS research like?
• Is graduate school right for you?
• Masters degree or Ph.D?
• How do you apply?
• How do you choose schools/advisors?
• Taking the GRE's
• Differences between a top 5, top 10, top 20, or top 50 program
• Getting good letters of recommendation
• What to do now to improve your chances of getting accepted
• Any questions you may have
