Swarthmore College Department of Computer Science

talk by Alexis Ohanian

Wed, Dec 4, 7-9pm, Science Center 101

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian will discuss his start-up experience, Internet entrepreneurship, jobs in Silicon Valley, and his new book, "Without Their Permission." He'll also host office hours for 3 chosen student entrepreneurs, and be joined by Prizeo co-founder Bryan Baum '11.

The session will take the form of the famous TechCrunch Disrupt Office Hours (http://techcrunch.com/2011/05/25/absolute-must-watch-office-hours-with-paul-graham-at-tc-disrupt/). The students will come onstage, pitch their idea, and discuss it with Alexis. They will have 10 mins. It is an invaluable opportunity to receive feedback from a serial entrepreneur and Silicon Valley angel investor.

200 copies of WithoutTheirPermission will be given away, and Ohanian will host a book-signing event after his talk until every single book is signed.
