This site represents the culmination of a research project on the situation of women in computer science (CS) programs at the university level. The site is divided into six major parts. For an abstract and discription of the project, see our Introduction page. For a run-down of the statistics involved, go to the Statistics page. To investigate different approaches to explaining the lack of women in computer science, see our Approaches page. We have some information available pretaining to the state of women in computer science here at Swarthmore on our Swarthmore page. To read about some of the solutions that have been thought about, go to our Solutions page. Finally, for a bibliography, complete with links to online sources, see our Links/Sources page.
