Written assignments are not worth as much as lab assignments, but are designed to give you some extra practice on lecture material and on some of the type of questions you may see on course exams.

You should work with your assigned Homework and Study Group on homework assignments in this class. Please read this information about working in your study groups and tips for working on joint homework assignments with your study group: About CS44 Homework and Study group.

We will use Gradescope for homework assignments this semester.

  • One person from each group only will submit the joint solution from your group by submitting it on Gradescope before the due date.

  • Make sure that the names of all the students in your group are included in the group submission, Here’s a tutorial on how to turn in Group Homeworks on Gradescope.

  • Be sure to take turns in different group roles each HW assignment (see About CS44 Homework and Study group for more information about roles and using gradescope).

Here are a few problems from the textbook that are good practice for the material covered since the last homework assignment. You should also explore other questions in the book and compare answers with your classmates. The review questions sections at the end of each chapter are also recommended (skip terms/concepts we didn’t cover in lecture).

HW Group Questionnaire

Due: Sunday April 26th before 11:59pm

Please fill out the HW Group Questionnaire. This is a short questionnaire about your HW group experience in this class, and is a required part of your HW grade. Submitting it is worth a few points towards your Homework grade in the course. It should be filled out and submitted individually and independently by every student.
