Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2001 11:01:37 -0400 From: Daniel Eisenbud Subject: Gorham, NH Dear Friends, I'm sitting in my parents' sumer place in Randolph, New Hampshire, taking a day off after hiking about 285 miles in the last 15 days. New Hampshire has been great: I haven't been rained on yet, amazingly, and I got some great views from the White Mountains, which is the prettiest place I've hiked through yet. My parents are out on a short hike, which I declined to go on because I need the day to rest and eat. I have about 300 miles to go, and should be finished in a little more than two weeks. While in a way it's exciting to be almost finished, I'm also a little bit sad that my trip is almost over. But all good things, must, indeed, come to an end. And I still have Maine, which is supposed to be really beautiful, ahead of me first. Love, Daniel -- Daniel E. Eisenbud eisenbud@cs.swarthmore.edu
