Odds and Ends...

• if you make a mistake and can't log in on the console:
  • hit F1 instead of Return after name and password
  • or ssh in from another computer and fix problem
  • or try Control-Alt-F1, log in, then later...Ctrl-Alt-F7
• don't overdo it...limited system resources
• other dot files: .plan and .project
• useful keyboard shortcuts
  • move around desktop: Ctrl-ArrowKeys
  • bring up window list: Ctrl-Escape (and then arrow keys)
  • try Ctrl-RightMouseButton in an xterm
