To change your password on the command line, open a terminal and run the passwd command:

Note: when you type your current and new passwords, there are no stars or asterisks shown in the terminal (but it is working). The whole process should look something like this:

$ passwd
Enter login(LDAP) password:
New CompSci password:
Retype new CompSci password:
LDAP password information changed for dduck1
passwd: password updated successfully

If you’ve forgotten your password, go to our self-service password site: (Hit the “Click to Request Reset” button, then enter your username and hit “Request Password Reset”)

Note: to access, you might have to be on the Swarthmore network.

Also Note: your CS password is different from your ITS/Swarthmore password.
