All,
Lindsay Romano, a representative from Teach for America, will be on
campus on *Tuesday, **November 14th* from *12:45* to *1:45* to give a
recruitment presentation about *STEM involvement* in education. Teach
for America has offered to provide *free pizza* for lunch, so we're
conducting an interest poll <https://goo.gl/forms/7ZxHog44i9YKRLnt1> to
get a sense of how many people will be there, what room size we will
need, and what food to order.
Here's a summary describing the content of the talk:
*_Teach for America: Expanding STEM opportunities through education_*
There is huge disparity in access to quality STEM education in our
school system. Come learn about Teach for America, an organization
working to end educational inequity through a rigorous two year
teaching commitment and training program and that is fighting to
close the achievement and opportunity gap in STEM in our school
system. Speak to a TFA alum to learn more about the program as well
as opportunities for impact in STEM education.
The event is open-ended: you may arrive late or leave early. Please let
us know via the interest poll above whether this is of interest to you;
we'll be tabulating the results on Friday morning in order to organize
the event!
Best,
Zach
