I'm a Swarthmore CS grad from 1992, and the Principal Production
Operations Engineer at Care.com in Waltham MA. We have a team of six right
now (including Matt Coddington from the class of 1999, the manager of the
group), and we're looking to add a seventh! As the job posting says:
Care.com is the largest and fastest-growing technology platform for
online care services, helping families, businesses, and corporate
employees find high-quality care for their kids, pets, parents, and
homes. We're seeking innovative, entrepreneurial, and genuinely nice
people to join our collaborative team. If that describes you, we want to
hear from you! A career at Care.com offers countless ways to grow and
have a real effect on a young, exciting company.
The Production Operations Engineer is responsible for the deployment,
operation, maintenance, and tuning of the Care.com production
infrastructure. This role collaborates closely with engineering and QA
teams to ensure business requirements around uptime and feature
deployment are met.
